Kelly Construction Antigua is proud to announce that the joint venture between Aecon Construction and Kelly Construction has been awarded the V.C. Bird International Airport Runway Rehabilitation Project, under contract around US $47 million. The award was confirmed by the Antigua and Barbuda Airport Authority following a successful competitive bidding and negotiation process.
The scope of work includes runway resurfacing, with targeted rebuilding in sections identified as needing comprehensive restoration, and rehabilitation of taxiways and aircraft apron areas. Construction is expected to commence in mid-to-late June 2025 and may extend over a two-year timeline, ensuring sustained delivery of complex airfield rehabilitation works.
This joint venture represents a milestone for Kelly Construction, leveraging Aecon’s international airport development experience with Kelly’s deep regional operations and civil construction capacity.
